The 31 Best Films Of 2011 - No. 28Rabbit Hole
I’ve never been a fan of Nichole Kidman and her films but all it took was the two seconds of her crying in her car during the film’s trailer for me to know that Rabbit Hole was going to be the exception. I’m sure losing a kid is up there with the worst life experiences someone could go through so to try and portray that onscreen believably but not over doing it I’d imagine would be quite the task, but here Kidman and Eckhart both pull it off seamlessly. I can’t see it being as memorable after a second viewing but the it’s a gut wrenching powerhouse of a story that is even clever enough to be able to throw in some light hearted laugh out load moments.
